Gelnica was established in 12th century, when miners moved from Bavarian to Gelnica. The tourist attractive points are Gothic church from 14th century, baroque town hall from the half of 18th century and the ruin of gothic castle from 13th century. Other tourist important places are wooden bridge from 1831 and typical town houses. Gelnica is one of the most important miner`s towns, thanks to fields of golden, silver and ore.
